Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of English – Renaissance Drama

Carnegie Mellon University’s Department of English seeks a specialist in English Renaissance drama, with preference given to candidates whose research intersects with digital humanities and the history of radicalism and dissent beginning in the medieval period.  Teaching load is 2/2.  Teaching interests in Shakespeare and medieval culture are highly desirable.
The Literary and Cultural Studies program at CMU is characterized by its integration of interpretation, history, and theory.  The successful candidate will teach graduate and undergraduate courses, have opportunities to mentor individual student projects, contribute to a regional consortium in Medieval and Renaissance Studies, and join a newly formed Digital Humanities Faculty Research Group.
