The RSA’s Gordon Prize, given annually for the best book in Renaissance studies, this year was awarded to two of our own GEMS faculty: Professor Amanda Wunder, for Spanish Fashion in the Age of Velázquez: A Tailor at the Court of Philip IV (Yale University Press, 2024), and Professor Emily Wilbourne, for Voice, Slavery, and Race in Seventeenth-Century Florence (Oxford University Press, 2024).
