Dec. 5th | EMIG Publication Workshop

EMIG Publication Workshop

December 5, 2014, 11:00-1:00

The Early Modern Interdisciplinary Group (EMIG) invites students to participate in a publication workshop led by Tanya Pollard and Will Fisher on December 5.
We will bring faculty and students together to discuss in-progress work by students in early modern studies. During the course of the workshop, we will consider how to establish exigency and how to construct relevant research questions. We also anticipate that this workshop will help students better understand the publication process while encouraging faculty and student collaboration in new and exciting ways.
While everyone is invited to attend the workshop, we will focus specifically on work by two students. If you would like to have your writing read and discussed, please e-mail Roya Biggie (royabiggie@gmail.com) and Joseph Bowling (bowlingj3@mailbox.winthrop.edu) with a brief proposal (250 words) that does the following: 1) describes the project, 2) identifies 1-2 possible journals, and 3) describes the state of the essay (unfinished, drafted, but unrevised, etc) by November 3. If your work is selected, we will ask that you circulate your writing by November 24.
If you have any questions, please e-mail Roya Biggie (royabiggie@gmail.com) or Joseph Bowling (bowlingj3@mailbox.winthrop.edu).
