March 10 Deadline | Scholarships in Venice

Vittore Branca Center at Fondazione Giorgio Cini, Venice
Fondazione Giorgio Cini and Renaissance Society of America have been collaborating since 2010, with the “Patricia H. Labalme” scholarship and – more recently – the RSA/Kress “Centro Vittore Branca” scholarship.
RSA selects two specialists a year in the field of Renaissance Studies, to spend one month in Venice at our Research Center, working on several primary and secondary sources in our libraries (art history, history of Venice, architecture, early printed books, theatre studies, literature, music).
In addition to that, the Fondazione directly issues scholarship announcements (for 3 or 6 month research residencies) aimed at international PhD and post-doc scholars willing to spend a research residency in Venice, working in the Fondazione libraries and living in our Residence on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore.

Applicants can propose interdisciplinary research projects to be pursued in Venice, provided they are focused on materials held in the Fondazione and in other Venice archives – suggested research guidelines here.
Application deadline: 10 March 2016.
