Due April 15 | Call for Papers: VERSUS: Antagonism, Self-Criticism and Hostility in Literature and Art

The Department of German and Romance Languages and Literatures (GRLL) at Johns Hopkins University is pleased to announce a forthcoming graduate student conference, entitled VERSUS: Antagonism, Self-Criticism and Hostility in Literature and Art, to be held September 16-17, 2016. Our keynote speakers will be Professors Stanley Fish (Florida International University) and Nathalie Hester (University of Oregon). We would appreciate if you could circulate the attached call for papers among your graduate students.
 
Abstracts must be received by Friday, April 15 for consideration. Papers will only be accepted in English; however, submissions related to the fields of German, French, Italian, and Spanish language and literature, as well as English, History, Art History, Film Studies, and Comparative Literature are welcome. Please see the attached call for papers for further details.
