The Fondazione Giorgio Cini, Venice is offering several opportunities: Three residential scholarships to researchers wishing to spend a study period in Venice between May 2017 and May 2018 and two residential scholarships for second and third generation Italians (PhD or post-doc).

The Vittore Branca International Center for the Study of Italian Culture offers three residential scholarships to researchers wishing to spend a study period in Venice between May 2017 and May 2018.  Each scholarship is worth 6,250 euros and is aimed at PhDs and post-doctorate students who must not be over 40 years old on 10 March 2017, wishing to further their studies of Italian culture – especially that of the Veneto –  with an interdisciplinary approach in one of the following fields: art history, literature, music, drama, early printed books, Venetian history and comparative cultures and spiritualities.

“Olivo and Vilma Andreazza” Scholarships for “second and third generation” Italians
In memory of Olivo and Vilma Andreazza, the Fondazione Giorgio Cini has created two 3-month residential scholarships worth 6,250 euros each, to enable “second and third generation” Italians (i.e. children and grandchildren of Italians who emigrated to work abroad) to come to Italy for a study period at the Vittore Branca International Center for the Study of Italian Culture. The scholarships is offered to PhD or post-doc interested in studying Italian culture – especially that of the Veneto –  with an interdisciplinary approach in one of the following fields: art history, literature, music, drama, early printed books, Venetian history and comparative cultures and spiritualities.
