Graduate Assistantships at the Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society

We invite students with an interest or background in civil society organizations and philanthropy to visit with us at The Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society.
We provide Graduate Assistantships to selected students for scholarly work, conferences and/or practical experience in our Center.  The Center’s W.R. Hearst Graduate Assistants generally work at the Center 6-9 hours per week; however, project work, hours, and size of award may vary and will be worked out individually. Our focus is on topics related to civil society, philanthropy or nonprofit studies (in the U.S. or internationally) including current or historical research on individual donor or place-based philanthropy, NGOs, nonprofit organizations, associations, and public-private partnerships.
This semester, we would particularly benefit for help from students with skills in digital archives, knowledge management and social media.
Interested students should send a resume and a 1-page statement about their work and interest in the field to cpcs@gc.cuny.edu, or may call 212-817-2010 or stop by suite 5401.
