Digital Research Resources

The Digital Archive Research Collective [cuny.is], a working group of students, faculty, and staff led by GCDI and the Digital Fellows, is hosting open meetings to facilitate conversations on digital archives. Since the onset of COVID-related closures, this semester our conversations will focus on questions of “Access” in the context of remote archival research.

Please find the description for our first meeting and the schedule for the rest of the semester below. Join our CUNY Academic Commons group to receive the Zoom invitation for our meetings.

– Tuesday, October 13, 11am-12pm – Talking to People in Archives: A Conversation About Human Access

The Digital Archives Research Collective (DARC) is organizing a virtual meeting on the topic of remote human access. The first DARC Open Meeting of the semester will explore ways to connect researchers with archivists and librarians, given the current personal and physical constraints which are disrupting access to resources. This meeting will emphasize the process of building human relationships from a distance, and will offer advice to those who are limited by lack of access to institutions and collections. We invite researchers at all stages to join the conversation.
