Race in Early Modernity
We will hear current work from Carol Mejia LaPerle, who has published numerous articles on race in early modern drama; Dennis Austin Britton, author of Becoming Christian: Race, Reformation, and Early Modern English Romance (Fordham UP, 2014); and Jennifer Morgan, author of Laboring Women: Reproduction and Gender in New World Slavery (Penn, 2004) and co-editor of Connexions: Histories of Race and Sex in North America (Illinois, 2016). Erika Lin will moderate.
